Monday's Clouds and Bicycle Wrecks

Today was a fun day for the two Grand Daughters. They rode bikes all afternoon, rested for a little while and ate dinner. Then they went out on the bikes again for a while. One girl had a chain come off, causing her to have an accident, scrapping her knee, her shoulder and bruising the other knee. Whew! This may be a scary summer. :-)

Just before sunset we drove toward the Lighthouse, but we could see rain coming down in that direction. It had been cloudy all day and 87 degrees with a SE wind.

We turned around and went out to the causeway instead. Just after we got out there, I could see pouring rain on Sanibel just across the causeway. But, it didn't last long at all.

Spoil Island B already had a lot of people parked there, so we went on to Spoil Island A. The clouds were really threatening and you could see heavy rain coming down in some areas, all we got there were a few sprinkles until we were leaving. Then it rained enough that we had the wipers on driving back to the island.

Looking toward the highest bridge and Ft Myers.

There was a very low tide. I saw one large King's Crown that was alive, so back he went.

Yep, having fun can be dangerous business! My knee is just healing from my island booboo. Enjoy!
