This afternoon I went to resident access 1, off West Gulf Drive. There weren't many people on the beach. It was another hot afternoon, around 90 degrees, but on the beach it was windy and felt a little cooler. There weren't many good shells, so after watching the beautiful clouds for a while, I headed back home to the air-conditioning. I know, I'm a whimp. :) Even though we had lots of clouds around, we got no rain.
Hard to believe with such beautiful weather the beach isn't packed. I suppose if you live there and can go whenever you want you don't have to go all the time. I'd sure love a 90* day. It's been chilly here for awhile now.
I can't believe you guys got passed over for the rain AGAIN! Lovin' the return of the afternoon shower over this way. The storms have been coming from the East - Southeast, and they have been heavy and/or prolonged at times. It's a mystery why they are not reaching the islands.
I am a retired, grandmother who is living a dream in this tropical paradise, called Sanibel Island.
My blog was created to share some of the beauty I see around me each day. This tranquil place is a haven for wildlife and the natural beaches are spectacular. I will post pictures now and then, that I snap quickly with my cellphone.
Since I am on 'Island Time' and consider myself to be a 'Slacker', my posts may not be on a regular basis. But,I hope you enjoy my adventures and come back to visit often.
