Today we spent the day at the beach. We dragged our chairs, umbrella and cooler to the beach and set up camp at resident access 5. It was 92 degrees today but there was a pretty good seabreeze. The temp in the Gulf is 89. There were lots of small shells today. I carried home a heaping handfull. The kids had fun in the water.

This evening we went to McT's for dinner. Two boys had all you could eat crab legs and really enjoyed that.
Hi Tootie, when I go in Sanibel, it's always in winter and low tide is always around or oclock in the morning....I see many low tides in your picture in the day...it is because this is the summer???
bacaisse, the high and low tide times change each day. So the low tides you've been seeing in my photos, isn't because of the season. Next time you come here, get a tidal chart to show you what times the changing tides occur. If you want to read about tides, I've found this site helpful. http://home.hiwaay.net/~krcool/Astro/moon/moontides/
I am a retired, grandmother who is living a dream in this tropical paradise, called Sanibel Island.
My blog was created to share some of the beauty I see around me each day. This tranquil place is a haven for wildlife and the natural beaches are spectacular. I will post pictures now and then, that I snap quickly with my cellphone.
Since I am on 'Island Time' and consider myself to be a 'Slacker', my posts may not be on a regular basis. But,I hope you enjoy my adventures and come back to visit often.
