Today was hot and windy. It got up to 90 degrees with 20 mile an hour gusts of wind out of the West. The water temperature is also 90.
This evening we were at the beach off West Gulf Drive and Resident Access 2. There were small shells scattered about from the hightide line down to the edge of the water. The only shell that caught my eye was a tiny orange scallop.
There are several sea turtle nests in this area, you can see 3 of them in one of the photos.

What a beautiful little scallop!! I may have to bop on over to your section of the beach sometime and see if I can find a whole orange scallop of my very own, Tootie. ;-)
And that warm air continued over here to the East coast. We had a record breaking hot day.
But I still love living in Florida. Thanks for the walk on your wonderful beach, I enjoy the West coast too.
I love the little scallop!! I want to come visit the beach there so badly.
I love those tiny oranges - it takes a good eye and a lot of luck just to fill a thimble with those!
