Thursday Toe Wiggles

I had the pleasure of being at Pointe Santo on West Gulf Drive of Sanibel this evening, for a while before the sunset.

There were many people out walking on the beach. I noticed that gradually those individual people and couples turned into groups of people. After a while, those groups grew into a crowd, as far as I could see. There were also people sitting up on their roof top sundecks. They had all gathered to watch the huge red ball of fire that was getting close to dropping into the gulf.

I suppose it was time to relax and reflect upon the day. Watching the sunset is an almost magical moment that lets you know the day is over.

For the shore birds, it seemed to be a hurried search for their last meal of the day.

For me, it is was a reminder that I have been blessed with one more day in this beautiful paradise. I can't think of anything better than wiggling my toes in the sand while watching the sunset.

These next two can be watched in HD Full Screen on YouTube.

The video quit just a couple moments before the sun was actually all the way down, so I clicked this photo right after. I didn't want you to miss any of it. :-)

There was a little red drift algae on the east gulf beach yesterday and today there is a little on this west gulf beach, along the edge of the water. I certainly hope there won't be any more.

You captured a beautiful sunset. The neatest thing is that you appreciate the beauty around you. That' great.

I'm with you about there being nothing better than wiggling your toes in the sand while watching the sunset. Perhaps having a glass of wine during all this would add to the enjoyment!

I thought I saw some red drift algae in your video. Ugh. I sure hope we aren't going to get hit with this again. Of course if we did, it might send a few people away and cut down on the traffic problems! Geez, it was awful today.

Oh, I remember that red sea stuff when we were there. If I remember right it had quite a smell to it. Beautiful sunset photos.

Another beautiful sunset. I will patiently wait for October and walk the beach with you every day via cyberspace.
