We had a much needed rain this morning, along with lots of thunder. Some parts of the island got 1/2", some 1" and hardly any, in a few areas. There was still a lot of wave action today. The temperature got as high as 77 and it is now 66. When I was out on the beach near West Wind Inn on West Gulf Drive this evening, it was pretty chilly from the NW wind. There were very few people out on the beach and I saw no shells, worth mentioning. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day for shelling. :-)

Hey, there's not a crowd on the beach!! I guess they think they'll melt in the rain!! Tho I do understand that nobody wants to be out there if there's lightening going on!!
These are cool beach shots. I love them all.
Your second picture is gorgeous. I was glad to hear that you got some needed rain. I also hope that the cold weather we had last night doesn't get as far down as Sanibel.
I love the wet sand look. Rain is good...it will help everything turn green. Hope you had a great weekend!
Thank you so much for the comment....It was such a pleasure to visit...and now to see your blog will bring us to Sanibel every day...Thank you so much....
