I went over to Loggerhead Cay this afternoon, because my daughter is coming to the island week after next, and I wanted to check to see where the condo they will be staying in, is located. I have never stayed there and didn't know a lot about it. The property as a whole, looks very nice, clean and neat. I walked out by the pool and it is large and very nice, with plenty of chairs around to relax in. From there, I went out on the beach. That is when SHOCK set in! There were soooo many people, and in either direction you looked! Wow! There was a kite flying, which I saw a sea gull checking out and then flying around the kite string. I have no idea how many people were sitting and laying around, but at least half of them were sleeping with their mouths open. I guess you could call that relaxation after frolicking on the beach. ??? There were many people walking and some younger people out in the water, playing around in the waves. I think this is a very good example of why you would want to come to Sanibel in off-season. It really is nice to see people having so much fun, but it sure makes me appreciate the times when it isn't so 'merry'! :-) . But, this is just one of the nice things about living here, all the happiness makes you feel like you are on vacation too.
Sorry about the video moving around so quickly. I didn't mean to give anyone motion sickness, but I was in a hurry! :-)

So does this mean that NOW is already starting "the season"? LOL! I guess down there the OFF season is really short! That would make sense since the temperatures are already so warm... WOW! I have a SMALL window of opportunity for that off season!
Oh my goodness...that is a lot of people!!!! Go WEST....hahaha
How exciting your daughter is coming in....can't wait to read the blog!
I hope things quiet down a bit for your daughter's visit so she can have the beach to herself! Hoping for very sunny weather as well. Snowing here today. Yuck.
I'm with you. I will be VERY glad when we don't have quite so many visitors on the beach, on the bike path and on the roads! It sure makes it tough to get around.
Samantha saw that crowd on the beach and was very thankful that's not what we find in October!! Shhhhh! Don't tell anyone!!
We stayed in Loggerhead Cay in December when we were there and our condo was fabulous. It is a wonderful area.
I was quite frankly surprised to see so many people on the beach in late March.
