A barefoot and lazy, kind of life.

We went to resident access 1, off West Gulf Drive. After sitting in traffic so long, the rain had stopped by that time. :) There are some new signs at the house beside the path.
I'm thinking they love dogs more than people. Hmmm......

The water was pretty clear and calm today. There wasn't much wind either, which made it very pleasant walking.
I didn't find much of interest in the shells the waves were leaving behind.
This bird was having a yummy treat!

There were a lot of shells out where the waves were breaking. The water is still a little cold for me to get interested in wading out there. But, I sure would have liked to get a closer look. :)

As we were leaving, we noticed someone had brought their unwanted shells back and dumped them.

I usually ask you to look for the treasure, but this time you couldn't call it that.
If you'll enlarge the photo, you will see doggie doo mixed in with the shells. That would be, because some very bad person just kicked shells over the top of it, instead of cleaning up after their dog. Now, since enquiring minds want to know......it is uncovered because I was walking along looking at shells and just kicked them around a little to see if i might be missing a treasure underneath. Thank goodness I wasn't using my hands, as I usually do. Whoever is responsible for this should be ashamed of themselves. This kind of behavior will eventually ruin the priveledge of taking dogs on the Sanibel beaches. I don't think there are many places left where you can. I guess this is one of the reasons why.

When it quit raining, I went over to Resident Access #1 off West Gulf Drive.
There wasn't much activity on the beach, except for noseeums. I wasn't there long before they found me. So, it was a short stay.
