Friends arrived Saturday from Indiana and we met them for dinner tonight at the Hungry Heron. They were telling us how they left home in a snow storm and were so pleased with the weather here.
All of us were very happy with our choices from the menu at the Hungry Heron. I had BQ Ribs and they were very good. Of course, I have to admit that I haven't had many ribs that I don't like, in my lifetime. :-) But, each person had something different and really liked it. Our service was excellent. This place probably has the largest menu around.
The sun had just gone down and this was the view of the sky on the way to dinner.
These are photos of Periwinkle Place. There are about 28 shops here and everything is decorated with clear lights. It's advertised, it is shopping in a park like setting; now it's like shopping in a wonderland. The big trees in the two gardens in the front are simply covered in lights. My photos can't do them justice, but it gives you an idea of what it looks like. There is a little giraffe next to the sign at the street, with a little Christmas package hanging from it's mouth. Very beautiful!
