I mentioned yesterday about good friends moving to the island. So, I thought you might be interested to see where they are living until they find a permanent home. They are staying in this cute little cottage at Driftwood Inn, with tropical trees all around, and a sign on the tree that says "BEACH". Looks absolutely perfect to me and it is just a very short walk to the beach.
The sticker on the back glass of the SUV has had a place of honor for quite a while. :-)
I tried to get out to the causeway to photograph the sunset, but I forgot about the time change and missed the whole thing! :-( So, this sad video is all you get.
I am a retired, grandmother who is living a dream in this tropical paradise, called Sanibel Island.
My blog was created to share some of the beauty I see around me each day. This tranquil place is a haven for wildlife and the natural beaches are spectacular. I will post pictures now and then, that I snap quickly with my cellphone.
Since I am on 'Island Time' and consider myself to be a 'Slacker', my posts may not be on a regular basis. But,I hope you enjoy my adventures and come back to visit often.
