Here on Sanibel Island, we've had some beautiful clouds and plenty of rain, lately. I'm certainly not complaining. The trees and flowers are flourishing. You can see the beginnings of a canopy over Periwinkle Way, in quite a few places. It's a pleasant sight, to see the change that is finally becoming more and more obvious since Hurricane Charley, 7 years ago.
Driving around the island, it's nice to see how the hundreds of trees planted after that hurricane are thriving.
A sampling of some of the interesting
clouds we've had during the past week.
After crossing the Sanibel Causeway,
We soon caught up with rain.
A few days later we were, once again, on our way to Ft Myers and ran into rain when we reached the Sanibel Causeway.
I am getting a little tired of rain,
but I know we need it.
And, in between showers,
you get to watch the birds
strolling around, aerating lawns.
This is the 'natural' island way,
to have a healthy lawn. :)
The nights are gradually getting cooler and the day temperatures are also a few degrees less than those we experienced the last few months.
And as for a puppy update; he is now watching and learning how to play pool. :)
He thinks 'Life Is Good'!

Thanks for sharing those beautiful clouds with us. I'm glad the recovery from the hurricane has gone so well.
Cool clouds. We have had the wettest year on record up in Chicago. I am really tired of all the rain. I sure could use a little "Sanibel Time."
Love those clouds, Tootie! And I remember those FL rain days...and how the season starts to cool a bit now- xo Diana
