Perfect Sanibel Weather

I want to thank all of you for your kind comments, they were all taken to heart, and helped more than I can say. :)

Our weather lately has been wonderfully sunny and warm.  The high temperature today was 77 degrees.  I appreciate that, each and every day, but hearing from family who has just gotten more snow, makes me think about it even more.

I think all of you, who live up north, deserve a tropical island getaway.  If I had it in my power, I would bring each of you here for a dose of sunshine.  It's for sure, you have earned it this winter.

The island is full of visitors doing just that.  The streets are clogged with traffic and beaches are loaded with bright colored umbrellas and sun worshipers.

This afternoon, I went to Pointe Santo, the parking areas were all full of cars, so I think it's safe to say that season is definitely in full swing!  I was surprised by the beach erosion that changed the look of the beach since I was there.

There was a lot of action going on, as I walked out onto the beach.  The area to the west was loaded with people at the Tarpon Bay public beach access.

The tidal pool was making these two little ones pretty happy.

A Pen Shell stingray.

A little glimpse of how beautiful the water has been lately.
This is how it looked yesterday afternoon when we drove over the Sanibel Causeway.

This little guy is still keeping me busy and entertained at the same time.

Sure is growing! :)

Hi Tootie- You have been on my mind for the last few days -thinking about your daughter and what braveness it takes to face your tomorrows when your world has crumbled around you. You are made of good stuff- you are~

Your sunshine did me good-we are still snowed in here..with more snow coming tonight or tomorrow. I am sooo sick of it this year...worse than some other years.

I can't believe how big your "baby" is getting. Does the puppy carrier still work? Hope you have a wonderful weekend. Hugs-Diana

Wow! That's a pretty big drop off on the PS beach. We aren't getting the terrible snow storms here, but they actually have snow in the forecast for the Phoenix area this weekend. Record lows, hard frost, rain, wind and possibly snow on the valley floor. We'll see. Sam rides today so we're hoping it won't blow in until later tonight.
Your pampered pooch is a cutie!

Thanks for the sunshine. We had another 6" of snow. I shouldn't complain - I spent last week on the beach in Cozumel, MX. Why is it that any beach I go to, I compare to Sanibel? Sanibel ALWAYS wins!

Too bad Puffin has no toys . . . LOL He sure is cute!

While we have high 70's too, I still miss the beach and the ocean. I never tire of looking at your photos and take a mini time out. Cute pup!

I sure could have used some of that warm weather and sunshine yesterday -- it was cold up here. But your pictures did help me feel better.

Hi There, Prayers for you in losing your daughter.. I cannot imagine... Bless your heart!!!

One of my best friends has breast cancer and it is in her bones.. She is really struggling now --and is in the hospital. She's fought the good fight for 4+ yrs. now --but she's losing the war I think... Makes me so sad.

Your new baby is gorgeous... I'm sure he keeps you smiling though...

Hugs,
Betsy
