This afternoon we went to resident access 3 on West Gulf Drive. The sun was out and the temperature had warmed a little to 62, which was nice compared to the 41 degrees and cold wind last night. It actually felt pretty warm on the beach.
There were some shells in this area and several people were searching as they walked along. I'm sure there were a lot of nice small ones, but I only picked up 3 small ones, because I didn't walk very far or look too closely.
The reason I didn't spend too much time walking:
Today was the trial to see how Puffin would take to his new carrier pack. He actually seemed to like it, so I didn't want to keep him in it too long the first time. It was sure easier to take pictures with both hands, rather than holding him with one arm and the camera in the other hand. He was constantly wiggling when I was holding him, in the pack he didn't do that. I think maybe he felt a little more secure, plus it was probably more comfortable than when I had a death grip on him to keep from dropping him.
When we got back home, he was happy to run and play with his toys. After he wore out, he took a little break by laying on the bird's cage covers.
He and Lexus spent a little bonding time together. Lexus was quite happy to stay in his carrier and talk to Puffin. I don't think he understood why he got no answer when he kept saying, 'Hello'.

Oh poor Pinkerbelle! Nothing like a new puppy to keep everything hopping. He is a cutie.
Take good care,
Karen
Lexus saying hello to puffin and wondering why there was no answer - that's cute! Teach Lexus to give Puffin orders and see what happens! :-) - Dave.
Hi Tootie,
Thanks for stopping by my "beachsnaps" blog and seeing my newest little grandson at the beach!
I'm back over here checking to see what you're all about and see that you're on Sanibel...my sister and her hubby visted there last week and LOVED IT. They plan on coming back next year, they loved it so much. Poor things, had to go back home to the tundra--Minneapolis, MN where they'll freeze their little tootsies off!
Great! Now, not only am I addicted to the Beach Walk photos on your blog, I am now addicted to Puffin pics! He is just so darn adorable and so are you! Have a beautiful day in paradise!
It is so hard to imagine that adorable little face giving you a power struggle, I guess he really IS an ewok - they were pretty good in a battle, as I recall! It must be fun watching Lexi trying to figure out what this new creature is!
I'm glad the puppy pack worked well and that Puffin seemed to like it. The picture of Puffin and Lexus is cute.
Hi Tootie...seeing your pictures gives me hope for our trip to Sanibel. The water, surf, and shells makes me feel warm in all this snowy weather up here.
Your little puppy is precious!

Oh Toots- That pup is a kick! I love him in his carrier and think that is just the cutest thing ever. I didn't know you had a bird too. I'm sure Pretty Boy is trying to figure out what the little fur ball is all about! hugs- Diana
What a precious little creature, such pretty coloration. He's going to be such good company on your walks :-)
