Sanibel Sunday Relaxation

The weather has been wonderful!  Finally I have all the holiday deco removed and put away.  The new puppy is like having a baby to care for, but he and I are beginning to get into a routine now, which is making things a little easier.

This afternoon we went for a drive to Captiva.  It was 70 degrees and sunny.  On the way back, we stopped at Blind Pass for a look around.  Seems to me the sand bar across the channel has grown in length.  There was a lady laying on the sand digging for shells, a man sitting at the end of the sand bar fishing, and four people sharing a picnic.

The water was very calm and there weren't any shells coming in that I could see.  But, it was a nice relaxing time on the beach.

Thank you so much for posting these FANTASTIC photos of the sand bar. I now have a clear idea of how big it is. Are they afraid that the pass will fill in again? After all of that money spent on dredging?

I'm glad you and your new pupppy are getting into a nice routine!

Puppies are a lot of work, aren't they? In fact, I wonder if they are harder than babies. At least babies make their messes in a diaper!! Enjoy the warm!

Great photos. What kind of puppy is it?

This January weather has been fantastic. Maybe this is Mother Nature's way of apologizing for the freezing weather in December.

I love all your pictures! I stayed at Blind Pass a month ago, and your pictures make me feel like I'm there again...

The sand bar wasn't there when I stayed at Blind Pass. I hope it doesn't close off the waterway between Sanibel and Captiva again!
