It was a little cool here again today, but sunny, which made it nice. We went for a drive this afternoon. Started driving on SanCap Rd, then Captiva Dr. There were already a lot of Christmas decorations up.
Everyone is getting ready for the holiday season.
As we passed Tween Waters Resort, I noticed that they have their big tree up, but not decorated yet. There were also some decorations on the railing outside the Crow's Nest and The Captiva House. It won't be long and they will be all lit up again. :)
As we were on our way back to Sanibel, we stopped at Blind Pass to see if there were a lot of shells there. You can see for yourself, what we found. Someone said there were a lot of shells in this same spot this morning, and there might have been earlier.
I had on a light, long sleeve sweatshirt and was plenty cool. I'm not sure how that fella was dealing with it.
It didn't look like there was much action going on, over on the other side either.
Two men were standing under the bridge fishing with a Great Blue Heron standing guard.
I watched him for a while and I think he got bored with the fishermen, since they weren't catching anything.
Soon he went back again, still hoping, I suppose.

What's the hurry with the decorations? It's not like it is going to get -40* and you've got to put them up before it is cold! LOL
Funny how smart the bird is knowing that fisherman may equal fish.
Hi Tootie! Well, I'll be on this road on Monday with a few of my other Florida blogging friends. Your photos have made me even more excited than I already am, what better place in the world for us to get together could there possibly be than Sanibel?
I've packed for the cold and the warm weather that will arrive while I'm there. Hot or cold, there's no better place to be than at the beach!
I think "that fella" was probably a Northern boy and your weather felt like Summer to him! If you get a chance, pop over if you want to read about SweetCheeks latest adventure. I always tell you and one other person because I know you enjoy your SweetCheeks fixes!
Did YOU put YOUR Christmas stuff out yet? Nothing like Florida at Christmas. One year we stopped along the canal that divides Ft.Myers from Ft.Myers beach and took pictures of the white lights reflected into the canal. It was 1974 and the first time anyone had EVER seen white lights on Christmas trees.
Hugs- Have a Sandy Sanibel Sunday- Diaan
It's so cute to see Christmas decor next to palm trees, Tootie! I just love the ying/yang combination! lol!
