Last night it was 63, today 74! I think it's Spring for sure. We went to resident access 6, off West Gulf Drive. It was after 4 but still felt warm out, until we walked out onto the beach. The breeze was a little cool there, but not too chilly to look at shells. :)
Guess which one I happily picked up.
This little orange, Juvenile Horse Conch is it. The little Turkey Wing, I picked up somewhere along the way.
That's funny! I knew you would spot that one too. That's why I took the picture and then I forgot to mention it in the post. Yes, it made me bend over. That was just a piece of one.
I am a retired, grandmother who is living a dream in this tropical paradise, called Sanibel Island.
My blog was created to share some of the beauty I see around me each day. This tranquil place is a haven for wildlife and the natural beaches are spectacular. I will post pictures now and then, that I snap quickly with my cellphone.
Since I am on 'Island Time' and consider myself to be a 'Slacker', my posts may not be on a regular basis. But,I hope you enjoy my adventures and come back to visit often.

This is what the shelling was like when we visited last year but it was so disappointing this year! Maybe next year will be good again!
