At Resident Access 5 off West Gulf Drive, this evening we saw a marriage ceremony taking place. This seems to be a favorite spot for weddings and wedding photos. I wasn't close, but I didn't need to be, to tell the bride was beautiful! To avoid interfering or being background in their photos, we walked in the opposite direction for a while.
There were a lot of small shells. I didn't look too long, but still picked up a small hand full.
When we were leaving, just as the sun was setting, the noseeums were getting bad, but the photo shoot was still going on.
The temperature today reached 94 and the Gulf temperature was 87.

I find it hard to believe the bugs are so bad with such warm temperatures. It must be the humidity that causes so many. Our bugs come out in the evening when it is cooler, but lucky for us this has not been a bad bug summer so far. I'm sure this fall things will change. I bet those are the best wedding photos.
I am a retired, grandmother who is living a dream in this tropical paradise, called Sanibel Island.
My blog was created to share some of the beauty I see around me each day. This tranquil place is a haven for wildlife and the natural beaches are spectacular. I will post pictures now and then, that I snap quickly with my cellphone.
Since I am on 'Island Time' and consider myself to be a 'Slacker', my posts may not be on a regular basis. But,I hope you enjoy my adventures and come back to visit often.
