Today was 81 degrees and windy, along with a beautiful bright blue sky. The beach at Resident Access 2 was pretty peaceful today. There were some people sitting around and a few walking, but not nearly the crowd that was here this weekend.
The water seemed a little more clear today, and only small shells were lying on the beach, in spots. Looking carefully through them, I found a baby's ear :-), a keyhole limpet, a tiny shark's eye and I also picked up lots of jingles and kitten paws for my friend who is saving those. I was all excited over the baby's ear because I think that is only the second one I have ever found. Woo~Hoo!! I guess I just don't have an eye for seeing those very well.
It was another nice day in paradise.

I love your opening sentence..."Today was 81 degrees and windy". My opening sentence...."Today was -15 degrees and windy (as hell)". The funny thing, the younger you are the more you don't notice and the more fun you have. In Alaskan years I'm about 95 because I was over liking cold and snow! :) Here's to paradise and finding really cool shells (you have to share photos since all those fancy names don't mean much to me! :)
Could you post the pictures of the babys ear and the limpet?
'It was another nice day in paradise'. That seems to be a perfect summary.
Yay on the Baby's Ear. I've found 4 or 5 but yes, you do need the "eye" for them. They tend to blend in with the other white shells.
Hi Tootie, I remember when I lived in Venice.. We loved having the snowbirds and the tourists (for the economy)--but it was so nice when they LEFT. I'll bet you all feel the same way down there.
George and I don't go to the Smokies during 'tourist' times or on weekends.. Just too many people around to enjoy it.
Happy St. Patty's Day!
Hugs,
Betsy
Hey Toots, I've been enjoying the blog and thought I'd pop in to saw woo hoo on the minis. I only have 1 or 2 baby ears. You know I think of my Mom and I sitting on a big pile of Shells at Blind Pass I think 1974 and we sat there all day until we found a Key hole Limpet. SO when I hear about them or find them it takes me back to that day. Of course we found A LOT of other shells but she wasn't leaving until she found one. I think I was the one who finally found it. It was a arge one....
Glad to see the clear water.
I loved the umbrella pictures the other day.
It is a beauty of a day here in the midwest. Did yard work yesterday and heading out again. Gotta get things in order here....before heading to paradise ;)
Beautiful photos. Great days.
Hooray for the baby's ear. I've found those in abundance near Gulf Shores, but not on Sanibel. Maybe in October!!
I've tagged you on my blog. Check it out!
