I have a photo of the shells that came home. Most of what I found, I gave to tourists who didn't have many. They were happy to take them.
I'm not sure what tomorrow will bring, but I'm sure everyone will be back to take a look.
I also took photos of the work going on, as best I could. The first one was taken as we walked from the parking lot on the Sanibel side of the bridge, so this view is looking toward the bay side.
They were pounding in sections of this wall, not sure how far they are going with it.

Looks fabulous!! Wishing I was there!! On the other hand, we are looking at tickets for October now!!!! So I have time to anticipate and look forward to our next visit.

What a wonderful haul of shells. I have never actually seen a Lions Paw in person. Another excellent reporting post! I feel like I am right there with you. Some of those sand piles along the bridge look the the snow piles we have up north right now. I'll trade ya??

LOL!!! You guys are CHEATERS!!! Cheaters cheaters cheaters! You use NETS to find shells? Oh boy! Just WAIT til I come to Sanibel! I'm bringing a gigantic net! I'm gonna get the BIGGEST shell of them alllllll! ROFL!
I'm also laughing because so many of those sand shots look like SNOW!
