I was at Pointe Santo late afternoon today. The weather was GREAT; Warm sun and a cool breeze. There were plenty of people out having a good time, but the shelling situation wasn't very good today in that area. There were a lot of sponge pieces and odd things lying around though.
I only got a glimpse of the sunset on the way to dinner at the Island Cow. The sky was a beautiful bright pink.
Such a neat beach...I can't wait for my children to experience it! Although we live in the midwest far from any water...we are 'beach people'. Look forward to reading your blog and learning about the island from a local!
I am a retired, grandmother who is living a dream in this tropical paradise, called Sanibel Island.
My blog was created to share some of the beauty I see around me each day. This tranquil place is a haven for wildlife and the natural beaches are spectacular. I will post pictures now and then, that I snap quickly with my cellphone.
Since I am on 'Island Time' and consider myself to be a 'Slacker', my posts may not be on a regular basis. But,I hope you enjoy my adventures and come back to visit often.
