Today there was more visiting with friends, then making a drive over to the airport to pick up another friend who was coming back to the island. After getting back to 'Paradise', we made a stop at the Sanibel Grill for a quick bite to eat and some conversation. There wasn't any beach time today.
So, I'll declare this 'Palm Tree Appreciation Day'! :-)
Love the palm trees, Tootie. We have them here in Arizona, but without the sand and water, and just that whole "paradise" atmosphere, they just aren't quite the same!! Nice, but not the same!!
I love palm trees. Since I've never lived near them, they are intriguing to me. The 3rd from last picture is my favorite. I love the way the trunks are curved and also the composition of the photo.
I am a retired, grandmother who is living a dream in this tropical paradise, called Sanibel Island.
My blog was created to share some of the beauty I see around me each day. This tranquil place is a haven for wildlife and the natural beaches are spectacular. I will post pictures now and then, that I snap quickly with my cellphone.
Since I am on 'Island Time' and consider myself to be a 'Slacker', my posts may not be on a regular basis. But,I hope you enjoy my adventures and come back to visit often.

I am always amazed at how many different kinds of palms there are down here. I love the Royal Palms the best though.
