Wednesday Late Afternoon

Weatherman said there was a chance of rain later, so it seemed a good idea to check out the beach before that happened. It really didn't seem likely because the sun was shining brightly. There was a nice cool breeze even though it was pretty hot here today. The beach visit today was in front of Pointe Santo on West Gulf Drive.

There were some shells scattered at the tide lines and there was an abundance of birds. There were probably twenty or more pelicans all bobbing around in the water. I never get tired of watching the antics of the pelicans! :-) There were pretty fluffy white clouds in the sky, so it sure didn't look like rain.

About 30 to 45 minutes later, this was how the sky looked. It's amazing how fast the weather can change here. Within an hour there was thunder and lightning. All we have gotten so far, is very light rain.

Yeah, it went from sunny to dark in about 2 minutes. Weird! Hey, how do you get to go to Pointe Santo? Do you know someone there or do you just park there?

Nice. I love weather - at least when it isn't aimed at me!

I love your blog! My mom and I have been dreaming of going to Sanibel one day soon.

A quick question, though ... how do you clean your shells? And do you clean them all the same way? We recently went to Perdido Key and found some shells, but I haven't cleaned them. Just curious!

I love the beach so I really like these photos. Makes me want to get in my car and so smell some salt air. :-)

Hi Tootie
This is my first visit. Your pictures are just beautiful. I love the water, and always want to be at the beach looking for shells, but of course we live in the country too far away, so it's so nice to see someone sending in gorgeous pictures .
