Went off island again this evening. Going across the causeway, around 5:30 PM, provided another beautiful sky show. The further away from the island, the darker the clouds were.
After some shopping, stopped by the Olive Garden for dinner. It began raining just after that and was absolutely pouring down when it was time to leave. Of course the umbrella was out in the car, which was parked way around in back of the building. After standing out front under the roof and watching people driving up to unload and pick up passengers for what seemed like forever; the only thing to do was to take off my shoes and make a run for it. I have to tell you, that's the first time I've run barefoot in the rain for a while! You guessed it! That was a soaking experience!
It continued raining hard until just before the causeway. The edge of a huge dark cloud seemed to be hanging right there. The rain made it's way on over to the island a few minutes later, but only lasted about 15 or 20 minutes. It sure cools the temperature down. It is 72 here now, at 10 PM.

we've had a lot of cooling temperatures these days too, we're better able to appreciate the scenery this way
God's paint brush! Doesn't He just do INCREDIBLE work? I'm forever watching His skies... These are gorgeous!
And... NOPE! I'm NOT recouperated from the beach - even YET!
