Time For Sanibel's Poco Loco

Happy New Year to all of you.  I hope it will be the best you've ever had!

It looks like my new year is going to be a busy one.  This little guy is taking up most of my time.  I can see why we mothers have our babies when we are young.  Getting up every couple of hours during the night is certainly wearing me down.  But he's doing very well, so hopefully in a few months we can make those outdoor visits a little further apart.

It was so nice out yesterday that we took the little puppy, whose name is Puffin, out for a short ride with the top down.  He seemed to like the wind blowing through his hair. :)
We saw this little beauty when we drove around Captiva.  Isn't it cute?  I'm going to miss these little holiday extras.

Even though I still don't feel quite up to par, I've been gradually doing after holiday cleaning and putting the Christmas decorations away.

This evening after a little shopping at Jerry's, we decided to enjoy the warm evening air for a while.  We're back in the low to mid 70's again for a while. :) We went into Poco Loco for the first time.  We enjoyed coffee and hot chocolate at one of the outside tables in the courtyard.  Gotta love the view and the sounds!  The birds were talking to one another and the sound from the waterfalls was very relaxing.  If you are visiting the island now or sometime in the future, be sure to add this to your list of things to do.  Kick back and relax under the banana trees. :)

We were just sitting there talking about how the Christmas decorations were already down, then looked over to see one ornament was left behind. :)  Can you spot it?

After I got home and looked at these photos,
I found one more thing that was missed.

Thanks for spending time with me this past year! :)

I spotted the snowflake, but didn't find the other one. I'm glad it's warmed back up so you can enjoy getting out.

Puffin! Perfect name for your new baby. We stopped in Poco Loco last time we were down, they have some really good Mango gelato!

Thanks for sharing your slice of paradise with your readers, I can't wait to see what 2011 brings!

Hi Tootie, I hope 2011 is a great year for you and your loved ones.

I must be blind! I can't find the leftover Christmas decoration in the photo . . . Sometimes at home that happens, I think everything is put away and a few days later there is something right in plain sight! Not a problem this year, I didn't do much decorating.

Puffin is a great name for the puppy. Will he be Puff for short? How are the birds liking him?

Poco Loco looks like a great place to sit and enjoy that warm air. Hopefully Puffin will soon let you sleep through the night.

Happy New Year to you, Tootie! Your Puffin is so very adorable --- and how well I remember how much work little pups can be! Ohhhh!!! Is Poco Loco right at Jerry's? Is it new, or did we just miss it the last time were were there?

Looking forward to spending another great year with you, friend!

What an adorable little face! Puppy snuggles are the best, and make getting up in the middle of the night not as terrible. =)

May 2011 be a wonderful year for you!
