Before Sunset Over Sanibel

We had to go off island today for the afternoon, so I don't have much to blog about. :( I only have these pictures I took as we came back across the Sanibel Causeway, this evening. The temperature got up to 95 at one point today and we had a little rain shower, but not enough to measure. As for traffic and activity on the causeway islands, there wasn't much at all, which was nice. :)

To answer some of your comments, we've been told there is only a 1% chance the oil will get to us, and yes you can still find plenty of shells here, so come on down. :)

I hope the reports are right and the beaches you love so much are safe. Love the pretty colors.

That's great news about the oil -- we just hope it stays away.
Thanks for the very beautiful pictures of the evening sky.

Spent my birthday in Sanibel, yesterday, at Donax beach, by the Inn, then up to Blind Pass. The water is so clear you could see the bottom, & I could shell in the water. Some folks were catching small fish with nets. Watched 2 dolphins skimming the water for their breakfast. Oh what a lovely birthday.
