Sanibel Weather Advisory

I just got this advisory in my email today. Not really what I wanted to see! :-( Today it is sunny and it doesn't feel too cold out. It was near 60 degrees, but by mid-afternoon it began to drop again. You will find my regular post below, along with some photos and a video of the beach at resident access 7, off West Gulf Drive this afternoon. Several of the pictures are purely for your cyber shelling pleasure. :-)

It wasn't too cold for the birds to play in the water.

A good Paper Fig! The only other things we picked up were a few jingles and a couple little scallops.

We still have lots of beautiful flowers blooming on the island and green grass. :-)

Just before dark, I noticed how pretty the sky looked. It made me wish I had stayed at the beach for sunset.

Thank you so much for letting us go Cyber Shelling. I wanted to reach right through my screen for that paper fig..beautiful and all those pink scallops (a weakness). Am in process as we speak of making reserv. for WWInn for July. Can't wait to get there!! Need to call Rebecca back for confirmation. Maybe we can get together somewhere that week. Would love to meet you. Love your blog, thanks again for sharing...stay warm. It's 16 and snowing here in Ohio closing down everything.

Toots, you are the best! My wife and I have been following you for a long time, couple years?? We love Sanibel as much as anyone in the world, for more than 15 years we usually are down two or three times a year for a total of 20 days or so. Just got back Sunday from a 6 day trip. We are ok with our Minnesota weather for about 3 months out of the year, the rest of the time we read your life story in blog form and enjoy your spectacular pictures wishing we lived with you in paradise. I am not sure if you realize what a gifted photographer you are? Anyhow, thank you and keep it up. Sincerely, Alan

Thanks, all of you! I actually didn't mind the snow that much, just the cold and the mess the snow turns into. I hope all of you get some relief from that nasty weather soon.

Tanya, be sure to jog my memory again when July rolls around. :-)
