More New Trees and Thursday Shopping

This afternoon, I forced myself to go off island for some shopping that I had been putting off. As I was leaving the island, I was surprised to see a lot of new palm trees that had been planted today, just as you make the approach to the Sanibel Causeway, on both sides. I mentioned in my last post that there were piles of trees laying in that area. They are going in the ground very quickly and they are quite large. I snapped a quick picture as I drove past. It will give you a glimpse at the project. In a few days, I'll try to go back to that area, park near the boat ramp, and take more photos for you. It already looks very nice.

The boat ramp and parking area are to the right in this photo.

In my opinion, the weather was perfect today, warm, breezy and partly cloudy. There was some fog earlier in the morning, as there has been for the last few days. When I went across the bridge just before 4 PM, there was fog in some areas. As for shelling, some people have told me that there are none, and a couple others thought they had good shelling. I heard shelling was pretty good today on the E side of Blind Pass. Once again, it seems you have to be in the right place at the right time, and be persistent.

You can see the fog in the distance, on the right side of this photo.

Please don't give up on me; I hope to spend some time on the beach tomorrow.

Your skies look beautiful, it has been very overcast and foggy here in the Tampa Bay area. The sun finally broke out for a few hours yesterday afternoon and it was glorious!

It's amazing what a few trees and bushes can do for an area. Looks beautiful.
