Totally Tired Friday

I'm sorry if you've come here for a Sanibel fix in the last couple of days, and found nothing new. I've had a cleaning project going on that has used up all the energy I had.

Today I finished cleaning and went out to the beach at Pointe Santo. It was evening and the temperature had dropped a little and there was a cooling east wind. It got up to 93 today. It has been cooling off a little late evening and then has been in the upper 70's at night. There were some clouds around this evening and I wondered if we were going to get thunder storms later, but we only heard thunder in the distance, no rain.

Vacationers this week, should be very happy with the amount of sunshine we've been blessed with, because the weather forecast showed a good chance of rain each day. They've also been blessed with peace and tranquility. It is so peaceful on the beach right now. I only saw 8 people in close proximity to Pointe Santo this evening.

If you are on island, you might want to avoid travel on Tarpon Bay Road Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, September 22nd and 23rd beginning at 7:30 pm and continuing through the early morning hours. It is a part of an annual resurfacing project, which began this week. Several streets are already finished. I believe they are trying to keep one lane open if possible, but there may be delays.

On Monday, September 21, 2009 the City of Sanibel begins repair work on the City Fishing Pier. This project involves removal and replacement of wood decking and handrails. The Fishing Pier will be closed through October 5, 2009.

It seems the island will be all spruced up for the approaching busy season.

Yea! The resurfacing and the fishing pier will be done before we get there!! Is there a public access near Pointe Santo? I really need to find a map that shows all the public paid parking spots!! Not going to make a costly error this year by parking in a permit area!!!!

Scrap Cat, here's a link where you can find a City of Sanibel Parking Zone Map. You can print one off. :-) You'll have better luck next time. ha,ha.

Bacaisse, I do take 99% of all my pictures with my Nikon N95 cell phone. I have taken a few videos with it, which aren't bad, but most of the time the videos are taken with a Cannon Vixia HF100. Thanks!
