Sanibel's Sunday Clouds

Today was a mixture of sun and clouds. This afternoon thunder sounded threatening in the distance, but the storms didn't reach us.

This is how the beach looked at the Donax Street access, near the East end of the island, this evening. This access is between Sanibel Surfside and Pelicans Roost condos. It had rained about an hour before and the beach was pretty empty, especially for this end of the Island. The temperature today got up to 90 degrees, but cooled down to the low 80's after the rain. The temperature of the Gulf is 88. The nights are beginning to get a little cooler. Last night it was down to 76.

There were not a lot of shells and I didn't pick up any.

Thunder and rain storms are forecast for the island all of this week.

My husband has been looking at real estate on Sanibel and thinks we should move. :) We cool off at night, too...down to 40's! Our rainy days are 50's...I wish they were in the 80's like you. Beach shots are beautiful. Do you see other people picking up the trash like you do?
