A Glimpse of My Sky View

Yesterday and today, there were thunder storms around in this area. But, we actually got very little rain. We did however, have some beautiful clouds to look at.

Yesterday afternoon, going over the Sanibel Causeway toward Ft Myers.
Looking toward the Sanibel Lighthouse.

Last week, we noticed the roadway landscaping project had gotten into full swing, on Summerlin, leading to the Sanibel Causeway. The irrigation had been in for several weeks, and the plantings are now being done. I don't know exactly what they plan to put in place, but there are groupings of palms going in now. If you are planning a trip to the island, you will have a different view along the way.

Groups of Cabbage Palms are being planted too.

The photos I took on the way over were not very good, so I tried again on the way back. But, without much success.

This was the beginning of sunset, from the causeway on the drive back to the island.

The sunset looked so inviting that we tried to get to the beach off West Gulf Drive in time to see it. The sun was just sinking below the horizon as we arrived. I really don't think it could have been more beautiful.

There was hardly anyone on the beach. The breeze was nice and so was the temperature, making it a perfect evening for shelling. There were small shells, but I only picked up a few.

Today, as I walked outside, I noticed that we had a hole in our clouds. I thought it was pretty neat. :-)

Had to make a trip off island again today for some shopping. Yes, it's clouds overhead again.

On the way back.

Sorry about all the cloud photos. I'll try to do better tomorrow. :-)

Actually, I think the clouds are pretty dramatic and the sunsets are absolutely beautiful.
