Another Southwest Florida International Airport Run

This afternoon we made another trip to the Southwest Florida International Airport in Ft Myers. This time it was to pick up a Grandson, Grant who is 16. He is Amanda's Brother. We had been tracking his flight online, from the time it left Indianapolis, so we knew it was running about 30 minutes ahead of schedule. So, this prompted us to leave a little early.

As we left the island, there was a pretty large crowd of people on the causeway spoil islands. LOTS of fishermen, some people with jet skis, some kite surfing, and a few were swimming.

We made the drive with plenty of time left over, so after getting inside the terminal, we went to Starbucks for something to drink.

The cool shell tree.

Grant was the first person off the plane, so we didn't have to wait long.

As soon as we picked up his luggage, we headed back toward the island.

On the way, we stopped at Arizona Pizza Company. The kids liked it and we all enjoyed our meal.

Going back across the causeway, the tide was very low. We saw more sandbars exposed in San Carlos Bay than we have ever seen before. It is really surprising how shallow this water is. The sun was hiding behind some clouds as it was going down, making a beautiful view.
