Tampa Friends & Wild Life Thursdsay

It was a beautiful, sun shiny, 86 degree day, here at Sanibel. With the west wind, it just didn't seem like it was that hot. Mid-afternoon, I got a text message from Tampa friends, saying that they had just arrived on the island. They will be staying for a week. He will be fishing and she will be shelling. We met them at the Sanibel Grill for an early dinner and visit. I don't like posting photos of friends when they aren't that good. But, since this is the only one I took, I will explain that she is much smaller than she appears and he was being silly. :-)

These photos were taken after dinner, on the beach near resident access 2, off West Gulf Drive. The cute little bunny thought he was hiding, on the side of the path.

Now that's what I call a relaxed fisherman. :-)

It was low tide and several people were walking around in the water, searching for shells.

The video was taken about an hour before low tide, between resident access 2 and 3. You can see that the water is very calm and clear. The water temperature is up to 83 now. :-)

There's nothing like being greeted by a Great Egret when you get home. It froze in mid-stride, also trying to be invisible, and didn't make a move until it was alone again.

That is one relaxed fisherman. The perfect place and time to sit and wait for a fish to strike!

The white egret makes a wonderful lawn ornament!

Say "hi" to the vanilla couple!!
