Warm Sanibel Wednesday

It was a sunny 76 degrees again today. It was a little windy and by late evening the wind began to get a little chilly. The weather says it should be around 58 tonight and back up to 78 tomorrow. I know you may be tired of hearing how wonderful that is, but this is just perfect for me.

Made a visit to the beach this afternoon, at Access 5. The tide was low, but there really weren't many shells today.

Went to Sanibel Cafe late this evening for dinner. They have a special each night and tonight it was pot roast, mashed potatoes and veggies. It was so good that I just woofed it right down and decided to try their homemade bread pudding. It was very good and looked like an artistic masterpiece. I was so busy eating that I forgot to take a picture of the food. Duh?? I don't usually eat that much, but I went a little overboard this time. The Sanibel Cafe will be open until 8 PM for dinner until the end of the busy season, when they will go back to breakfast and lunch until 3 PM.

Hi Toots---You know how jealous I am of where you are!!! ha ha... I love the beach--and your pictures and video are incredible. George and I go to the beach in North Carolina every May for a week, but that's about all of the beach I get to enjoy these days.

Are you all busier in winter (with the snow birds, or in summer--with all of the visitors)??? Being in a 'touristy' area, you probably have alot of visitors year 'round.

I went back and read some of your earlier blogs. I saw that you raised 3 (or 4) daughters, and that you struggle with arthritis. SO--it sounds like a perfect place for you now.

Keep sending these great photos... I love 'em!!!!
Hugs,
Betsy

You'll have to let me know when it is damn hot and you have the least amount of visitors (those two things together), and that's when I'll visit. I want to be warm so my bones feel good, and I don't much care for people 'cause I'm grumpy like that! :) Then I'll plan a vacation.

Sanibel Cafe looks like a keeper for our October trip. We don't do dinner out much, but lunch would be great!

Gayle, come on down in October while we're there. Not so many people!! That's why I'M there then!! Hate the crowds, love the solitude....

I don't get tired of hearing how wonderful the weather is down there, but then I don't stop wishing I was there -- at least during this part of the year! The Sanibel Cafe sounds like a great place to eat.
