Monday's Sanibel Florist

Note: If you were on my 'Follower' list and your not there now, please add yourself again. I'm not sure what happened but a bunch of you went missing today. :-) If it shows you are a follower, but you don't see your icon there, you have to take yourself off and then add yourself as a follower again. ?????

A sweet friend surprised me with an exquisite bouquet of three exotic roses for my birthday. I posted photos at the time and said I would tell you about her flower shop soon. Well today I had to run some errands and thought I would take time to stop by and say hello to Jana and take a few photos of her shop.

My pretty roses again. :-)

This lovely flower shop is owned by Jana Telecka, a very talented designer. It is located at 2400 Palm Ridge Road, and is a preferred florist for both Sanibel and Captiva. Floral Artistry is also a well known shop with area wedding planners. They specialize in exotic tropical flowers, creative wedding designs, commercial arrangements, silk flowers and home decor. A prompt, dependable delivery service is promised and a world wide wire service is also available. With an exceptionally friendly owner and a helpful staff, you couldn't ask for more.

This evening friends and I, invited Jana to meet us for dinner at Miceli's Italian Restaurant on San Carlos, just a short distance before the bridge to Ft Myers Beach. The food was absolutely awesome, as was the service. We had a variety of foods from the menu, from apetizers and entrees to desert. It was all excellent. I can't wait to go back again. I've included a link, just in case you want to check it out before your next visit. Just click on the 'Mangia Bene' and then 'GO' to find the menu, directions, etc. Just yummy!

That is a great photo of you! :) Those are the biggest roses! What a great shop...and to have such a variety for dining. Nice!

I fixed all mine and I am following you...but I lost all my Florida followers on my blog so you'll have to add me again (if you want to). A hiccup in the internet I guess.

Thank goodness you posted the information about following your blog! I thought you kicked me off or something. I was feeling pretty sad about that! For anyone else who disappeared, when I clicked on the link to rejoin, it said I was already a follower. So unfollow Tootie first, and then when it says you are unsubscribed, click to follow again. Whew! Relieved to know you still want me!

I've never been to the flower shop. It looks great. Guess I will have to stop by. The restaurant sounds great too.

BTW, my picture is not on your followers list but it says I am a follower when I try to sign in. The same thing happened on Gayle's blog. I haven't checked mine. Maybe I need to. I wonder what is going on.

WHAT a beautiful BEAUTIFUL shop! If I EVER need to send flowers to a friend on Sanibel Island I will certainly remember her!!! And your 3 little roses are gorgeous! But I have to tell you - right now I am MUCH more interested in the Pelican sitting behind them! Is THAT in HER store? Or is that in YOUR home? WHERE can I get one of those??? I LOVE it!

I don't know what happened, but maybe it had something to do with blogger. I only had 4 followers and now I have 2:-( I was just excited to have any, and now they are gone...

Love the florist shop. Such beautiful things! Maybe when we come in October I'll buy some flowers for the condo. We don't get them at home because the cats eat them!

Blogger changed everyones settings to anonymous when they added a friends network. You have to go into Followers on your dashboard and change each one to "Public" to be seen. Otherwise you are a Lurker! :)

Hi Tootie, Great picture of you and Jana. She has an incredible shop---so creative and just CUTE. I hope she is still able to make it --due to this econonmy.

One of my childhood friends owns a florist shop in VA.. Every year at Christmas, she sends us a HUGE Poinsettia.

Hope you had a warm, sunny day!!!!
Hugs,
Betsy

It must be nice to have a good florist in the neighborhood, especially one who is an artist with flowers.
You made me hungry with your comments about the restaurant.
