Warm and sunny Monday

You just have to love this weather. It was around 83 here today; nice enough to be out riding with the top down. I'll give you a clue of the destination.

Drove to Captiva and stopped by Jenson's to see if there were any manatee still there. I've heard that they go to warmer water during the winter months. But, I did see one there. The last time I was there, during the summer, I saw several.

The roads here are not as crowded as they have been the last couple of weeks, so it was a pleasant drive. Made a stop at Tween Waters to chat with friends for a while. The next stop was at Sanibel Grill around 5:00. By 5:30 more people started coming in and the place was quickly filling up. I'm guessing that most of them were Snowbirds that have returned to paradise.

The ten day weather forecast shows that a cold front is coming this way. But, you people up north sure wouldn't consider it cold. The daytime temperatures range from 83 to 73 and from 47 to 63. I think I can handle it! :-)

The tide charts show very low tides from this Thursday through the next Thursday. I've been told that January and February usually have the lowest tides of the year. So, things are looking pretty good for those of you heading to Sanibel this week. :-)

Tootie, you're bad for my morale! We had a cold rain today and the cold front coming this way is making things even worse. Wish I was there!

Oh man, Tootie, it hurts so good to hear about how beautiful things are now . . . big sigh. Have I mentioned that we are having freezing rain? :(

I would LOVE to be back in Florida and out of this COLD weather!! BRRR! Many people at work today asked me where I went that I am so tan...I told them Florida. We had such wonderful weather when we were there, and it sounds like it is still so nice.
