Sunday Sanibel Light Displays

Went for a little drive down Periwinkle tonight to take a few more pictures of the Christmas lighting. I'll have to say that in my opinion Dolce Vita Restaurant has the most beautiful display, simply using lights, that I have seen on the island. I have never eaten there, but others have told me it is very elegant and the food is excellent. There is also a piano bar and lounge with nightly entertainment.

Right across the street is the Jacaranda, which also has a very nice display of Christmas lighting. This restaurant is known for casual fine dining. I have heard mixed reviews about the food here, but I have had excellent food and service each time I have been there. The Patio Lounge and Jac Bar has entertainment nightly. By the way, the Jacaranda is named after a purple flowered tree.

Also across the street from Doce Vita, is the Sanibel Island motel, Anchor Inn & Cottages. A very cute and tidy looking place, with a heated pool.
Santa, sitting in his sleigh got my attention, because he started moving just before I took the photo. That might explain why it's a little blurry. :-)
