Thanksgiving Thursday

It is a beautiful Thanksgiving day! The sun is bright, the sky is blue, and the temperature is perfect, around 78 and a cool breeze. It is warm enough for short sleeves and shorts. However, I did take a long sleeve sweater in case it was chilly at the Old Captiva House, where we went to a Thanksgiving Buffet, with friends.

The Old Captiva House is located at Tween Waters Resort on Captiva Island. We had reservations, but got there a little early. They seated us immediately. There were tables inside and also some outside. We were seated inside, in the coolest room with an ice sculpture and a large bed of ice that had yummy seafood covering it. Our waiter's name was Robert and he was super efficient! The food was wonderful. I could have eaten more, but I saved room to sample two of the deserts. I have to tell you that I made the right choices there! :-) I had Key Lime Pie and Carmel Apple Crisp. Mmmmmm, Mmmmmm!

We all left happy!

The Christmas deco is all up at Tween Waters too. The lighting ceremony is tomorrow evening, just after sunset. They have a large fireworks display, music, and the lighting. I'll share more photos of the Christmas deco tomorrow.

I hope all of you had a great Thanksgiving!

We had a fabulous Thanksgiving with family around. Looks like yours was yummy, too!! Plus your weather was better. It has actually been raining here for two days!! But we need it, so can't complain too loudly!!
