Cloud Watch Saturday

Becky & Kevin were up before 6 AM and out sitting on the beach, watching the sunrise. The tide was extra low, so they walked out past the sandbar looking for shells. They didn't find anything to keep. After searching for shells a while and going for a walk, they spent another couple of hours sitting in the sun. Late afternoon and evening were spent in the condo relaxing because Becky had quite a lot of back pain and her feet and hands were swollen. She was feeling better by tonight and wants to join the group tomorrow that will have lunch together and hop around the pool bars. They still want to meet more of our island friends.

The temperature today was great. There was a strong breeze and bright sunshine until late afternoon, when the clouds began to move over the island. There was really quite a sky show of fluffy white clouds. For a short time it looked like it could rain, but only sprinkled for a couple minutes and it was over.

Had to make an airport run this evening to pick up friends who were flying in to Ft Myers from San Juan, Puerto Rico. Going over the causeway, the clouds were really pretty. There were lots of people fishing from the shore of the causeway islands and a bunch of people kite surfing. The bright colored kites were very eye catching as they blew back and forth. Sometimes it looks like they are going to get low enough to touch the road in front of you, but they pop right back up again.

I could see the sun setting by looking at the rear view mirror. The clouds around the sun looked orange and red. The clouds ahead, were taking on a pink color and sitting in the cell phone lot the skies gradually got darker.

I think it's going to be a tad chilly to pool bar hop today. We may just have to stick to the indoor ones--and there are plenty of those to be crawled to!! LOL

I absolutely LOVE that second picture - the stormy sky and palm trees! I'd frame it! :)

The last one is nice too. Both are unusual and beautiful!

Sounds like Becky and Kevin had a well deserved, perfect day together. =)

Love those dark clouds, as long as they don't spoil the beach fun-LOL!
