Thursday Sky Fire

These photos are from West Gulf Beach at Tarpon Bay Access. There were a lot of people (Seems like there are more tourists on the island this week.) out watching the sunset, which put on quite a fire show. The wind was blowing which made it feel cool, plus kept the noseeums away! That's always good! There were some shells, but none that I wanted to carry away. I could see some shells out a little way in the water, as the waves were coming in, but it looked mostly like pieces. I'm sure if someone was there at the right time of day, they found nice shells. The water was really calm and the color was ok, but just a little brown.

These are shells from last evening....

The "sky fire" was visible from Lehigh tonight. Really beautiful from my western-facing lanai. However, a noseeum bit the crap outta my ankles!

LOL

I was thinking of going out to the causeway to watch the sunset tonight but didn't. Now I wish I had.

Ahhhhhh! I had some sky fire in Ocean City too! Mostly over the Bay - but some over the ocean. We ended up coming home two days early today... the weather turned really lousy with no hope in sight! I would gladly stay - I love a stormy ocean - but my mother-in-law was way to fidgety and I couldn't find anything to distract her... so we packed it up.

These skies are gorgeous -- AS are the shells! When I get it all together I'm going to do a post JUST for you to show you my LACK of shells! LOL! (got some beautiful skies though! isn't it AMAZING what those clouds do over the ocean sometimes???)

Hey Toot's

I thought I'd post a thank you note to you here today.

You really captured some beauties...Once again! I peeked before going to bed, but was too tired to write a note. I missed the videos the last two evenings.... wah....I know what a baby. I guess I could go back to one of many...the birds one which by the way is one of my favorites.

Girl, I just noticed your visitor count. Wow.... You are getting quite a following in a short time. I knew I wasn't the only one that was addicted but wow....it jummped 1000 views in a VERY short time.

The Slackers love of the island transfers to all of us...it's like being there! Thanks for the time you spend sharing with all of us!

Have a great Weekend in Paradise!

I am new to your blog and I gotta say "thank you" for the most beautiful pics of the most beautiful place. My sister & I come to Sanibel every 4 years as a tribute to our mother, who loved the ocean and shelling. I love, love, love Sanibel and your pics and videos just make it so real to those of us who can't be there 24/7. Please keep them coming. Thank you again for the time you take to do this.
