Hit Mother load at Blind Pass

They are rolllin' in! We were at Blind Pass/Sanibel side since 3 AM. Got a load of shells, some not perfect but great for the friends'crafts, others were nice ones. There were about 10 people there looking at them when we left. Hurting all over from waves hitting me, holding a heavy bag of shells and bending over so much. There are lots of guys with surf boards out there and the parking lot was pretty full. The end of it next to the water was blocked off because it was washing out. The waves were really big at first. The water had been all the way under the bridge and up into the parking lot a little way. The tide had gone out, and left shell piles. Tide was coming back in again.

I don't know what the shelling is like anywhere else, haven't heard or checked that
yet.

Boy, this night made me think of my friend Angel Wings. :-)Where is she when you need her? And....Tinkster didn't make it either. I guess duties got in the way of adventure. :-(

Yes! I've twice been the first person at a blind pass shell pile, and that's where I found my (one) junonia last december, after one of those waves went completely over me! I wish I were there!

I think I know why I did not hear the phone. The previous night, I hardly slept because of the NOAA radio going off with tornado warnings. So last night, I was DEAD tired. I do normally hear the phone, but I think it was just too much for me. And besides, I might not have come any way, because I don't think I could have made it to work on time. Not that this should keep you from calling anyway!

Oh and as for Angel Wings... I think you will be seeing her soon enough!
